I engraved every scroll and fern vine by hand, tracing the same patterns I’ve come back to for decades, with two magnets pressed into the band the way I always do it.

Material: 99.9% Pure Copper

Pure copper isn't magnetic. Most of the copper jewelry sold online is either plated (a thin copper coating over a cheaper metal like steel or brass) or alloyed with enough iron or nickel to make it feel magnetic — that's the quickest way to spot a fake.

The test is simple:

1. Grab any fridge magnet
2. Hold it against your cuff, ring, or necklace
3. If it sticks — even slightly — it isn't pure copper
4. If it doesn't stick, you're holding the real thing
